Hi Clarisse,

Take a deep breath. It is ok to feel everything that you are experiencing right now. It is frightening and overwhelming with a little pressure added in as

well.

The mind is doing it's job here trying to keep you safe. It would be almost impossible for a women who has had a caesarean birth or two and not begin to

doubt herself at some point in the process of preparing for a vbac.
It just means that you are beginning to do the deeper work of preparing. This is a good thing. It will give you the answers you need to help yourself.

Sue King is in my opinion thge best option for midwife care in your case as she has successfully help several mom's with a vba2c's.
If you would like to work through some of the things that are crowding in at the moment, you can also contact me through PM and we can chat about your

options.

I trust that you know what you need to do as you are the only one who truly knows what  she needs.

Love and surrender

I there

Im from Pretoria. Ive found Genesis Clinic in Johannesburg which looks awesome but Im not 100% if the midwives there are very keen on helping with a VBA2C. I

was planning on contacting Sue King and asking her for assistance when the time comes.

A few women have recommended her for my specific need. I am very happy to go birth at Genesis as well. This weekend I had a major case of nerves. I started

to wonder if this is really something that I would be able to do. I was stressing that I am going to not get it right and everyone will tell me 'i told you

so'.

Im scared something might happen and then I'll be the 0.38% stat where something does go wrong and its all my fault.

Ag I want this soooo badly! I visualise what the experience must be like! I try and read what I can, and I try to also keep an open mind. Anything can (and

will) happen. Just have to keep my head.

Welcome Clarisse,

What area are you from?

Are there midwives willing to support you or do you only have access toa hospital?

These are important things in getting ready. To find out what your support structure is.

I think the most important tip is to believe in yourself.

Somewhere we lose faith in ourselves as birthing women when we go through a caesarean birth.

It is essential to reconnect to that instinctive woman who knows what to do.

Believe in you!

Love and faith

Hi Clarisse,

I think the most important thing for me is to know I have a good solid support team that believe in me and my weird ideas.

I'm interviewing people to fit the bill and have discarded several people as they just don't ell right for me.

I know from my previous pregnancy that it is no use trying to shape myself around my caregiver.

It should be the other way around.

They should fit you. There are enough around to find someone who totally gets you.

Good luck and keep us posted.thumbs up
